Bible Study

Starting October 4th we are excited to begin a weekly bible study to occur between 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. The bible study will focus on Holy Spirit led topics, which help us to grow in our knowledge of the Word as we walk out our Spirit-filled lives. After the first bible study, the following week’s readings will be given, with an expectation that independent reading will be completed before the next week. Each bible study meeting will comprise of a lesson time followed by opportunity for those in attendance to break off into small groups for questions and to discuss what the Holy Spirit has shown them about the reading and teaching. After each bible study we invite those who attended to take the short walk over to our Sunday service starting at 10:30 a.m.

Where To Find The Bible Study

We Have Water Baptisms!

What is a water baptism?

Simply put a water baptism is the full immersion of oneself, symbolizing the burial of the ‘old self’ and dying to a life of sin, mirroring Christ’s death. Rising out of the water symbolizes being raised to walk out your new birth, mirroring Christ’s resurrection. It is not a requirement for salvation, which is received by faith in Jesus Christ’s finished work at the cross, but rather a public declaration of an inward transformation that has already occurred.

Why should we be baptized?

Baptism is not a requirement for salvation, but it is an act of obedience to Christ’s command and publicly identifies you as one transformed from the inside out by the power of the finished work of the cross.

Christ’s command is found in Matthew 28:19

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”

What happened?

10 people took the step of public declaration of their faith in Jesus. Pastor Etsuko even had the honor of baptizing her parents and youngest son that day!

Do you want to be baptized too?

Reach out to us on our contact page and let us know so that we can start to organize another trip out to the waters to commemorate your decision to publicly declare your transformation, new birth and life in Christ.
